Prince George, BC –  Crews are on  scene of a major watermain break at Vancouver and 3rd Avenue this hour.

The  line that burst is a 12 inch line.   At least one basement in the area  has been flooded.    City of Prince George  crews are  working to shut off  the flow ,   and that means  eleven valves will have to be  closed.

As a result,  there will be  no water  to businesses and  homes  in the area  from Victoria to Melville.   There is no word on how long it will take  to make repairs.

Traffic can  expect disruptions along Third until the  repairs have been completed.
