Prince George, B.C. – If you plan on enjoying a little holiday cheer this weekend, don’t forget Operation Red Nose is back in service.

“We’ll have between 15 to 17 road teams both tonight and Saturday night, and if we need to, we’ll have spare volunteers available to add a few more teams,” says spokesperson Andrea Johnson. “They will obviously drive according to road conditions.”

Now in its second week of service, she says historically their second weekend has always been much busier than their launch week.

In 2015 for instance, they delivered 95 rides on Night 3 (Friday) and another 125 rides on Night 4 (Saturday).

Last weekend they provided 74 safe rides home.

If you’re interested in volunteering Operation Red Nose would still love to hear from you. The deadline to apply for New Year’s Eve – they’re busiest night of the year – is Dec. 19.
