Wednesday, December 7, 2016 @ 8:12 AM

Prince George, B.C. – Prince George RCMP are investigating an early morning residential fire officers believe was intentionally set.

It broke out at a home on the 1200 block of Johnson Street at around 2 a.m. this morning.

Police say the fire was extinguished and no one was injured including the lone occupant of the home – a 44-year-old woman.

“The investigation has led police to believe the fire was incendiary in nature and is therefore being treated as arson,” says Cpl. Craig Douglass. “A police arson investigator and the forensic identification section will be attending the scene this morning. The investigation is in its early stages.”

If you have any information about this fire you are asked to call police at 250-561-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
