Another Fire on Nixon Crescent

Saturday, December 10, 2016 @ 7:36 AM

Prince George, B.C. – Prince George Fire Rescue has responded to yet another fire.

The latest occurred shortly before midnight last night in the 2800 block of Nixon Crescent. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from a home.

Though firefighters quickly extinguished the flames damage is still estimated at $100,000. There are no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

The fire follows three suspicious blazes this week – one earlier yesterday at 4:15 a.m. on Michael Road near North Nechako Road.

Another fire in the 2800 block of Nixon Crescent on Wednesday morning (no word yet from Prince George Fire Rescue if it’s the same location as last night’s fire) and one more early Wednesday morning in the 1200 block of Johnson Street.

Luckily no one has been injured (see previous story here).

Those three fires prompted the Prince George RCMP yesterday to ask the public for any information they may have about the fires.

If you do call police at 250-561-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
