Williams Lake, B.C. – Three people are facing charges following the seizure of firearms and “explosive devices” in Williams Lake.
Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says Mounties were responding to a call for service yesterday when they observed “suspicious activity” in a vehicle driving near the call.
During a traffic stop she says police found a handgun, long barrelled firearms, prohibited weapons and various disguises.
“Further investigation determined the vehicle contained potentially explosive devices identified as pipe bombs,” added Saunderson.
She says the investigation continues and the three individuals remain in police custody while “a substantial amount of charges are being recommended to Crown Counsel.”
