PG Air Advisory Continues

Prince George, B.C. – The air advisory issued for Prince George on Tuesday remains in effect.

It was announced by the Ministry of Environment in collaboration with Northern Health due to high concentrations of fine particulate matter that is expected to persist until weather conditions change.

The provincial air quality objective for PM (2.5), is 25 micrograms per cubic metre, averaged over 24 hours.

The 24-hour average PM (2.5) concentration in Prince George as of 3 p.m. today is 27.

Exposure is particularly a concern for infants, the elderly or those who have diabetes and lung or heart disease.
