Prince George, B.C.- There is no fun in being in hospital when Christmas is just around the corner, but today was a special one for those on the paediatric ward at the University Hospital of Northern B.C.
The P.G. Humane Society chose the paediatric unit as a recipient of one of its 12 days of giving.
Today, ,the P.G. Humane Society’s mascot “Chance” along with helpers from Big Brothers Big Sisters, were on hand to deliver some joy to those on the ward.
“We have 12 days of giving, where we’re giving back to the community” says P.G Humane Society CEO Angela McLaren. “Everyday we go out into the community and we do something for the community to say thank you for giving to us. Today, we chose the paediatrics ward. All the kids are getting teddy Bears from Pet Smart. We have ‘Chance’, our mascot giving out some things to the kids and giving them big hugs, and Spruceland’s Little Ceasars is donating pizza for the kids today.”
The Days of Giving continue until Christmas, and locations and events can be found on the P.G. Humane society’s facebook page .
