Police Capture Two Wanted People

Prince George, B.C. – Two people are in police custody after trying to flee police.policecarnew

Prince George RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass says Mounties made the arrests yesterday morning on outstanding warrants.

He says police observed 28-year-old Cole Aubichon and 21-year-old Cree Parenteau exiting a vehicle on the 2200 block of Oak Street at around 11:30 a.m.

Douglass says Parenteau attempted to flee the scene but was arrested shortly after falling.

He says Aubichon also fled the scene but was nabbed by police service dog ‘Dero’ after being tracked to a residence on the 2100 block of Norwood Street.

Douglass says Aubichon failed to comply with police commands and resisted arrest but was taken into custody with minor bite wounds.

He says both individuals are well known to police noting Aubichon is wanted on several charges including:

  • Four counts of failure to comply with probation
  • Three counts of failure to comply with an undertaking
  • Two counts of obstructing a peace officer
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Possession of break-in instruments

He says Parenteau is also well known to police and wanted on several charges including:

  • Two counts of theft under $5,000
  • Two counts of property obtained by crime
  • Possession of break-in instruments
  • Four counts of failure to comply with recognizance

Aubichon has been remanded in custody and will appear in court tomorrow. Parenteau has also been remanded in custody and will appear in court Jan. 12.

Douglass says additional charges on both persons are possible.
