Air Quality Advisory for Vanderhoof

Vanderhoof, B.C. – The Ministry of Environment has issued an air quality advisory for Vanderhoof.
It’s been prompted by high concentrations of fine particulate matter that are expected to persist until tomorrow afternoon.
The provincial air quality objective for PM 2.5, is 25 micrograms per cubic metre, averaged over 24 hours and Vanderhoof is currently sitting at 28.
Those with chronic underlying medical conditions should postpone strenuous exercise until the advisory is lifted.
Exposure is particularly a concern for infants, the elderly and those who have diabetes, and lung or heart disease.
