Swan and Eagle Count Goes Today
Sunday, January 15, 2017 @ 6:48 AM
Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Naturalists Club is heading out to conduct its annual Swan and Eagle Count on the Crooked River this morning.
A warming of temperatures is certainly welcomed for the event, which goes ahead each year no matter what the temperature as the count is largely carried out by car and walk distances are fairly short. Today’s forecast calls for clouds and a 60% chance of light snow with a high of minus 2, so participants are advised to dress appropriately.
Those interested in taking part are asked to meet under the central Spruceland Shopping Centre sign for car pooling and waiver signing and a 9 a.m. departure.
Be sure to bring a lunch and snowshoes.
