Quesnel, B.C.- Traffic is down to a crawl on Highway 97 at Cinema, following two crashes near Ahbau Creek.
The first collision involved a pick up and car, and occurred just south of Ahbau Creek. The other involves two semi tractor trailers about 200 meters away from the site of the first crash.
In both cases, injuries are said to be minor.
“People need to adjust their driving to current road conditions” says North District RCMP Media Liaison Corporal Madonna Saunderson. She says unless people absolutely have to be on the roads today, they might be better off postponing that trip.
Drivers report to 250News that while much of highway 97 is in good condition, there is a lot of ice and black ice in shaded areas.
