Quesnel, B.C. – Mounties are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect involved in an armed robbery in Quesnel.

RCMP Sgt. Chris Riddle says police were called to a report of an armed robbery at a business in the 400 block of Elliot Street last night at 5:30 p.m.

“It is alleged the male suspect, who had his face covered, entered the business, produced a handgun and forced the lone employee to provide him with cash and cigarettes. The suspect then fled on foot.”

He says police deployed a search dog but were unable to locate the suspect.

It’s the second armed robbery in the span of a week in Quesnel. Last Thursday another business was robbed in the 400 block of Anderson Drive.

Riddle says police continue to investigate whether the robberies are linked.

Allegedly, I get a kick outta that. Biggest vague word I know. Asinine

I think that the media use the word ‘allege, or alleged’ out of context all the time.
I’m sure that an armed robbery must have occurred as described above, or is there some doubt?
