Prince George, B.C. – A sell-out CN Centre crowd of 5,896 – the first sellout since April 25, 2007, – saw the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors snap the Prince George Cougars five-game winning streak last night, 2-1.
The Warriors Brett Howden scored the winner – his 24th of the season – 9:32 into the second period.
Colby McAuley scored the lone Cougars goal – his 16th – at 10:51 of the second.
Prince George outshot the visitors 35-22. Perhaps the biggest winner last night was the lucky fan who won the mega jackpot, which reached a record $123,851.

Even though the Cougars lost I thought it was a fantastic night overall. It was so much fun to see the building sold out again, and was very exciting to see the jackpot keep rising throughout the game.
GO CATS GO!!!!!!!!!
The “Game” was SOLD OUT ONLY because of the 50/50 NOT because there was a Hockey Game happening. Think about it.
I think the majority of the people in attendance enjoyed a great hockey game. I don’t care how or why it sold out, it was fun to be a part of.
close only counts in hoseshoes and handgrenades, the cougars lost get over it.
are they better than they have been? yes.
are they the hockey gods some try to make them out to be …not likely
