Police Nab Suspect in Two Robberies

Quesnel, B.C. – Police in Quesnel have arrested a man they believe is responsible for two recent robberies in the community.
Sgt. Chris Riddle says last Friday police, with the assistance of the Prince George Police Dog Services, captured Aaron Stone Smart of Quesnel, also known as Aaron Joly, for the robberies of two businesses on Jan. 12 and Jan. 19, 2017.
Smart is facing the following charges:
- Two counts of robbery.
- Two counts of using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence.
- Two counts o fusing a disguise with intent.
- Two counts of uttering threats.
- One count of theft.
Riddle says Smart is currently in custody and was scheduled to make his first court appearance in Quesnel today.
