Prince George, B.C. – Foothills Boulevard between the Otway overpass and North Nechako Road is still closed to all traffic, vehicular, pedestrian and otherwise, as it has been since early this morning.
Members of the Prince George Serious Crimes Unit, North District Major Crime, Forensic Identification, Police Canine Section and other specialists continue to scour the area where a car containing two dead men and an injured male was found at approximately 2:40 this morning. Police responded to the scene after receiving a report of a shooting very shortly after it happened.
The car in which the three shooting victims were found is still sitting where it was located, just off the west side of the road on Foothills near a gravel pit.

At this time the RCMP can’t say when the road might be re-opened as investigators will continue their work for as long as it takes to complete their search for evidence.
There has been no further information from police regarding the victims, nor are police saying whether the man who survived the shooting with non-life threatening wounds is co-operating with the investigation.
In the meantime motorists are advised not to head north on Foothills beyond First Avenue as you will not get past the Otway Road overpass. Scores of vehicles have attempted to cross the Foothills Bridge only to be detoured to Otway to get turned around. Similarly vehicles heading south on Foothills from the Hart are having to take North Nechako Road to the bypass.
And traffic is getting backed up on 5th at the bypass as drivers who were blocked from heading north on Foothills are heading back to 5th to take the bypass north. The traffic lights have traffic backed up substantially.
