Prince George, B.C. – If you’re looking for something to do this coming Family Day, not to worry, the Spruce City Wildlife Association has you covered.

On Monday, the local non-profit will host an ice fishing event at Ferguson Lake from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“This is a free event for everyone, however anyone over the age of 16 that wishes to fish will need a valid freshwater fishing licence,” says president Steve Hamilton. “We will have limited tackle for people to try out, so if you have your own – please bring it.”

Along with the fishing, he says some great prizes will be up for grabs along with some complimentary snacks.

“We want everyone to realize what an outstanding local fishery we have,” adds Hamilton. “And help people to get out and enjoy our own back yard.”
