Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested
Prince George, B.C. – One person is in custody and is facing charges in connection with an armed robbery that took place in Prince George on Monday evening when a lone male entered a business on 15th Avenue and produce what appeared to be a hand gun.
Last evening, Prince George RCMP got a tip from the public that a suspect was at a business near 15th and Ospika.
Officers immediately attended the business and arrested the suspect without incident. The suspect was in possession of a replica hand gun. Further evidence from the Armed Robbery was also seized.
Chayne Neale Lafantaise, a 27 year old man from the community of Tsey Keh Dene, is in custody and is facing the following charges:
- Robbery
- Assault with a Weapon
- Use an Imitation Firearm while Committing Robbery
- Disguise with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose (3 counts)
- Fail to Comply with Probation
- Possession of Ammunition while Prohibited
“Cooperation from the public assists police in performing our duties effectively, which in turn allows us to move investigations forward quickly and achieve positive outcomes, as was the case with this incident” says Inspector Shaun Wright, Operations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
