Prince George, B.C. – The Canada West basketball regular season has come to a close for the men’s and women’s basketball teams at UNBC.

The Timberwolves hosted the Saskatchewan Huskies for their final doubleheaders of the season and, unfortunately, came out on the losing end of all four games.

On Saturday, the UNBC women fell 87-53 to the Huskies, Stacey Graham leading the Timberwolves’ offence with 14 points.  The Huskies finish the regular season with a 15-5 record while UNBC ends up at 6 and 14.  The Timberwolves, though, can qualify for the playoffs if Alberta beats Lethbridge later today.

In the men’s game, Saskatchewan scored a 20-point victory winning 77-57.  Sam Zhang scored 18 points for the home side.  The Timberwolves close out the season with a 4 and 16 mark while the Huskies went 14 and 6.
