Vanier Robbery Suspects Arrested
Prince George, B.C. – Two suspects have been arrested in Alberta following an afternoon Robbery in Prince George this past weekend.
As 250News reported on Saturday, Prince George RCMP converged on Vanier Drive where they found an adult male suffering from non life threatening injuries.
The injured male had been delivering food to a residence on Vanier when he was assaulted by two males. The suspects fled the scene with the food and the victim’s vehicle.
Efforts to locate the vehicle and suspects were initially unsuccessful, so neighbouring RCMP detachments were notified.
Around 10 p.m. Saturday, members of the Jasper RCMP successfully stopped the vehicle and arrested an adult male and a youth male without incident. Both are from Prince George.
“This is a great example of how Detachments and police forces work together with the single goal of public safety” says Cpl. Craig Douglass, spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP. “Thank you to Jasper Detachment and the other Detachments that assisted with this investigation.”
The investigation is continuing on both sides of the border and further details may be released as they become available.
