Big Melt Means Big Splash

Prince George, B.C.- The rapid melt in Prince George has resulted in major pools of water along some roadways.
The water hasn’t been able to drain because storm drains have not yet thawed. So, what is left is the potential for a nasty shower of dirty water for anyone walking alongside the roadway.
Drivers are being asked to exercise courtesy, especially when that water is next to a sidewalk, as is the case shown in the photo above.

Lake Gladstone stretches from Marionopolis to Loyola, including the sidewalks and into the cross streets. I tramped through a couple of people’s front yards to skirt it on my walk with dog this morning!
