Century Old Weather Record Broken in Prince George
Prince George, B.C. – If you thought it was a little warmer than usual today you are correct.
Environment Canada has confirmed a 100-year-old weather record has fallen in Prince George. Today’s high of 12 degrees tops the previous high of 10.6 degrees this day back in 1916. The lowest temperature this day was minus 45 in 1936.
According to meteorologist Alyssa Charbonneau the warm weather is expected to persist through tomorrow.
“Yes, we’re still looking at this warm, moist air that has brought some subtropical air over the south coast. Lots of rain for us and it’s brought the warm temperatures into the Interior. It will still be with us tomorrow as there’s a forecasted high of 9.”
Temperatures on Friday are expected to drop to a high of 4 degrees while the high on Saturday and Sunday is forecasted to reach plus 3.

-20 last week to +12 this week is pretty odd, so was the 1-2 day snowfall which was the most snow i’ve seen in the past 3-4 months
Yet another high temperature record falls… anyone remember when the last cold record temperature was broken for Prince George? Seem we are breaking record warm temps frequently, nor so much the cold temps. Hey?
Must be the Liberals fault and I am sure if the NDP took over it would swing the other way, well because hell would have to freeze over for that to happen.

Meanwhile the online Die Welt N24 here reports how wind and solar power practically completely disappeared over a period of weeks during the dead of winter in Germany — as a high pressure system with fog and windless days persisted over much of central Europe — and “brought Germany’s power supply at the limit“.

Were you even here this winter? It may not have broke records, but it was one of the coldest I can remember since I was a kid. 2+ weeks of 25-30 below, then warms up, 3 more weeks of sub -20.. just a brutal winter this year.
If this is Global warming/Climate change or whatever the alarmists are calling it this year I am loving this warm weather, bring it on!!!

1916 they had a guy looking at mercury in a bubble and rod, today we have a computer monitoring weather equipment. There is a difference, the guy looking at the thermometer could have misread or even been on a schedule and missed the high of the day back then. In any case 101 years ago it was just as warm as yesterday? Hardly a champion for global warming – aren’t we supposed to be 2 degrees warmer?
1916 there were a lot less politicians spewing hot air .
