Prince George, B.C. – History buffs will want to head over to the Bob Harkins branch of the Prince George Public Library tomorrow from 11-4 for the first annual Heritage Expo.

“It’s to celebrate the history of the Central Interior. We’re having it in conjunction with Heritage Week, which is also a provincial and national initiative,” says organizer Rob Bryce.

“Up to 20 exhibitors and displays will be on site in the Keith Gordon Room including a mix of local authors, historical organizations and other individuals displaying a variety of history.”

He says members of the Lheidli T’enneh will also be on hand discussing local First Nations history.

“Hopefully we get a lot of people out. I don’t think people realize the rich history that we do have in this area.”

1 day? Really? Saturdays are tough people, kids have lots of sports and parents are catching up. Would be nice to see a week long event at the Exploration place.

This is Heritage week and most of the exhibit,s are from people volunteering but work during the week.
