Police Locate Wandering Child
Prince George, B.C. – A young child has been located and returned home after found wandering on a street in Prince George this morning.
RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass says at 10:15 a.m. Mounties received a report of a young child found near the corner of Union Street and Youngs Avenue near Spruceland Mall.
The three-year-old boy was found wearing nothing but his rubber boots. Police took custody of the child and a police service dog and a Canada Post employee helped assist in locating the child’s home. Douglass says police have notified child welfare authorities.
“The Prince George RCMP would like to thank the members of the public that took the time to assist the child and the police in this situation. Without their help, the results could have been much worse.”
