Prince George, B.C. – Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a basement fire in the 3200 block of Christensen Road last night.

Assistant Fire Chief Greg Wilkins says 15 firefighters from three halls arrived on scene shortly after 10 p.m. and quickly knocked down the flames.

He says they stayed for about two hours, checking for hot spots and to ensure it hadn’t spread.

Wilkins says no one was home when the call came in and notes preliminary reports suggest the cause to be accidental.

A damage estimate has not been released. There were no injuries.
