Kassel Scores Second Silver

Prince George, B.C.-  University Hospital of Northern B.C.  nurse,  Nikki Kassel  has  made it to the podium again at the Klosters Masters World Cup  cross country skiing competition in Switzerland.She  has picked up a silver medal in the women’s 30km  race held today with a time of 1:29:48, 9 .  The gold medal  went to a skier from Russia.

This is the second silver medal for Kassel, with  her first being won on Saturday.   She  barely missed the podium   for a bronze medal in a race on Monday.

Kassel  is an  operating room nurse at  the University Hospital  of Northern B.C.  in Prince George.  Today’s race was her last in the week long  competition  that   has  welcomed  more than a thousand cross country skiers  of all ages from  around the world.   Races are categorized by  gender and age.
