RCMP Investigate Gunshots Fired at Several Transport Trucks

Saturday, March 25, 2017 @ 10:29 AM

Prince George, B.C. – RCMP are investigating incidents in which gunshots were fired at a number of transport trucks travelling on highways in the Prince George area on Friday night.

One unconfirmed report indicated six trucks belonging to Lomak Bulk Carriers Corp. were fired upon.  While the RCMP has not yet been available to comment a Lomak spokesman in Prince George tells 250 News that “it wasn’t only our trucks, apparently there was a number of different trucks over a wide area (that were shot at).  Right now I am right in the middle of talking with the RCMP so I don’t have time to talk. I don’t have much more information than that.”

He does say that fortunately nobody, as far as he is aware, was injured in any of the shootings.

Asked about one media report that the Lomak trucks were shot at west of town the spokesman says “well, for our trucks it was.”  He continued “you would be best to talk to the RCMP because all we’re getting is second-hand information.  But other trucks are in, there are repair shops in Prince George that have trucks in them that aren’t Lomak’s that have bullet holes in them.”

250 News will update this story as soon as information from the RCMP becomes available.

That is deplorable hope the person(s) are caught

Crazy bastards. Its tough enough driving in winter conditions without the added stress wondering if some local yocal is going to take pot shots at you.

The 2017 trucker gang war has begun!

A year ago I had a large combination wrench thrown at me from the fence between the Chevron and Subway in Vanderhoof. My window was down and luckily it hit the cab just behind the window. I keep my windows up now when going by that spot… I couldn’t see in the dark, but definitely an adult on foot that took off across the tracks.

Was he wearing a yarmakule? Mossad op maybe?

There was just enough daylight for the culprit to read the TRUMP-PUTIN 2016 sticker on the truck.
