Selection Made for City Rep on Transit Committee

Prince George, B.C.- Prince George City Council has selected its representative to sit on the Canadian Urban Transit Association’s Transit Board Members Committee.
This was the third vote to select a representative who will sit on the Committee until the next municipal election.
Councillors Susan Scott and Jillian Merrick were both nominated for the position, but at the last Council meeting, two votes on who would get the nod, ended up in a tie.
That tie was broken this evening as all members of Council and the Mayor were in attendance, which was not the case during the previous votes.
Councillor Jillian Merrick received the most votes for this position and will be the City’s representative.

I just looked up the organization.
It is a committee reporting to the Board. The committee members must be members of a transit system ….. in this case via a municipal transit system.
and no one is surprise Queen Jillian got the vote
now she has an even bigger opportunity to inconvenience motorists.
