Prince George, B.C. – At 5:30 am, on April 9th  1917,  the battle to take Vimy Ridge began,  and it was a battle that would  be considered a defining moment for Canadians.

Legion Magazine has produced  the video  to commemorate the 100th anniversary of this  battle and we have embedded  it  for  your viewing.

While 250News is aware  the narrator  erred in  pronouncing the  word Lieutenant,  instead of the Canadian  pronunciation (lef-tenant)  that should not, in any way,  diminish  the magnitude of this  important  chapter in Canadian history.  We hope you  take  a few minutes to  watch and to pay respect to those who fought,  and those who fell.
