Assault Sends One to Hospital
Prince George, B.C. – One man is in hospital following an apparent targeted assault on a busy Prince George street.
RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass says the incident occurred just before 5 p.m. yesterday afternoon.
He says Mounties came across the male victim walking along the 3000 block of 10th Avenue and noticed he appeared to be suffering from one or more injuries.
Douglass says he was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries which appeared to be caused by a blunt object.
Police note the victim is well known to police and was not cooperative. A home in the 2900 block of 10th Avenue was checked for safety and to ensure there were no more victims. A police dog search failed to turn up any suspects.
Police are treating this as a targeted attack related to the drug trade and say the public is not at risk.
The victim has two arrest warrants and was taken into custody after he was released from hospital.
If you have any information you are asked to call police.

As the weather warms up, more people out and about and seems like crime ramps up
As soon as I read “not cooperative” I think the RCMP should just leave him where he is and move on to more important matters.
Unless he has warrants then it is straight to jail.
Yes, you find this time and time again bud! I agree to put them back out in the street and let the word out that he did in fact cooperate withe authorities . No loss there!
totally agree. You can’t help those who don’t want your help.
I am just guessing but is it possible that he is silent because he is afraid for his life?
