Monday, April 10, 2017 @ 12:15 PM

Prince George, B.C. – Not to be outdone by Premier Christy Clark and the BC Liberals, B.C. NDP Leader John Horgan promised to make life “more affordable” for British Columbians this morning.

Horgan said he’d do so by freezing B.C. Hydro rates and eliminating tolls on the Port Mann and Golden Ears Bridges.

He also pledged to offer better services if elected premier – especially in health care and education, “so young people have every opportunity to succeed in life and seniors can age with dignity.”

Horgan also said an NDP government “would build a sustainable economy, creating thousands of good jobs with better wages in every corner of B.C. We’ll build hospitals, roads and transit while tackling climate change.”

In addition to that hepromised to help families with $10 a day child care and pledged to cut raw log exports.

Additional details, including how the party would pay for its promises, were not provided.
