Cougars Sign Forward
Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Cougars have signed forward Liam Ryan of New Westminster to a Standard WHL Player Agreement.
Ryan was the Cougars seventh round ick in the 2015 Bantam Draft.
The 6 foot 180 pound forward is coming off a great season in the B.C. Major Midget League where he was an alternate Captain for the Vancouver Northeast Chiefs.
In 38 games he scored 15 goals and had 28 assists and 64 penalty minutes.
“He’s worked very hard over the past two seasons to put himself in this position. Since the day he was drafted he has continued to develop into a solid, impact player,” said Cougars General Manager, Todd Harkins. “Speed, skill and leadership are all major strengths to his game. He’s going to be a big part of our future successes and we are thrilled to have Liam and his family signed and committed to the Prince George Cougars.”
Liam Ryan joins Jackson Leppard, Jonas Harkins and Reid Perepeluk as representatives from the Cougars 2015 WHL Bantam Draft class that are signed and committed for next season.

This will help reload not re build. I think the cougars are a great business model.
It was hard to see a great season come to such an early end, but there are definitely lots of great young players coming up in the organization that will be a lot of fun to watch in the future.
Things are heading in the right direction for sure. Looking forward to seeing all these new young faces in training camp.
