Green Candidates Missing in Northern Ridings

Wednesday, April 19, 2017 @ 1:14 PM

Prince George, B.C. – A BC Green Party candidate has stepped forward in Prince George-Mackenzie.

Hilary Crowley has lived in the riding for nearly 50 years and says she’s concerned with reduced moose sightings and that “large corporations are able to sway government decision making to the detriment of local citizens.”

The other two candidates in the riding are incumbent Liberal Mike Morris and the NDP’s Bobby Deepak.

In Prince George-Valemount, the candidates will be Liberal incumbent Shirley Bond, the NDP’s Natalie Fletcher and Nan Kendy of the BC Green Party.

Despite running two candidates in the Prince George area, the Green’s have been unable to nominate candidates in five northern ridings:  Peace River North, Peace River South, Stikine and Skeena.

General Voting Day is scheduled for May 9.
