Cape Breton Takes Game One in Telus Cup
Prince George, B.C.- The first game in the Telus Cup being played at CN Centre in Prince George, saw the Cape Breton West Islanders (Atlantic) victorious over the Blizzard du Séminaire Saint-François (Quebec).
The Cape Breton team scored first, at 4:36 in the first period when Malcom MacEachern got one past Quebec’s goalie, Philippe Gaudreaultt.
Quebec’s Vincent Guy would even it up with goal at 13:05 of the open frame, but it would be the only time Quebec would get one by the West Islanders goalie Colten Ellis.
