The Cougars won despite every effort made by the referees to provide opportunities for the Islanders. One of the poorest refree job, I have witnessed in a very long time. Poor calls were made and applied onto both teams.

In my opinion, the referees are not to be making such a big impact onto the game. Many calls were made with it being head contact, review the video’s and it will be clear that there was no head contact.

Yes, a referee can make a few mistakes per game. But not that many in a game. Is this so called referee trying to get a reputation. Well, he certainly did. I hope the body that monitors the referee review his blatant effort to be a part of the game is noticed, and rectified before going into the weekend.

We play Canadian hockey, not that European no hitting games.

These referees were picked to work this tournament because they are some of the best in the province. So I think they have already been noticed.

I guess you missed the call against West Islanders with 3 mins. left in the game ? It wasn’t much of a hit , but it was high and dumb for their captain to take when they were pressing to tie it up . Yes there were a lot of penalties called but I didn’t see it as biased against the Cougars .
