Prince George, B.C. – Time is running out to apply for a Celebrate Prince George Community Grant.

Residents with inspiring event ideas have until midnight on May 15 to come forward.

The grant was created in partnership with Tourism Prince George to foster the Celebrate Prince George Summer and Winter Festivals that take place in July and February.

The goal is to create a festive atmosphere and to boost tourism. The City says funding decisions are based on available funds, quality of applications and adherence to the outlined criteria.

The criteria guidelines include hosting the event within city limits and demonstrating how the grant will be leveraged to increase overall budget.
