Readers Pick Their Choice to Handle Softwood Lumber Issue

In the final non scientific poll leading to the election, 250News put the focus on Softwood Lumber.We asked “The softwood lumber dispute has become a critical issue for communities in Central and Northern B.C. Which leader do you think is best suited to deal with this issue?”
The results are clear, of the 1,000 votes cast, the clear majority said Christy Clark is best suited to deal with the issue. She garnered 603 votes, or 60%.
John Horgan was behind with 309 votes or 31 %.
Trailing on this issue was Andrew Weaver, The leader of the BC Green Party only netted 88 votes or 9 %.
