Levels on Some Rivers Receding

Prince George, B.C.- There is some good news on the swollen rivers in Northern B.C.
The River Forecast Centres has ended the high stream flow advisory for the Bulkley River, including the small streams and tributaries around Houston, Telkwa, Smithers and surrounding areas.
The waterways in that region reached their peak over the weekend. The weather is improving, river levels are receding and are expected to continue to improve through this week.
In the Peace Region, some mixed news.
As of this morning, the Beatton River remains on a flood warning although the rate of rising water levels is slowing.
The Moberly and Peace Rivers are on a flood watch, and the Halfway River has been downgraded to a high stream-flow advisory.
