Prince George, B.C. – A 34-year-old Prince George man has been charged in connection with this weekend’s homicide in the VLA.

Prince George RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass says the suspect, Christopher Clarke Prince, has been charged with second-degree murder, assault with a weapon and with uttering threats.

The incident occurred early Saturday morning near the corner of Oak Street and Porter Avenue in Prince George.

Officers arrived to find two people with serious injuries from an apparent assault. A 30-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were taken to hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The man later died.

Prince was located and arrested near the scene and will make his first court appearance today.

“All indications are that all the people involved were known to each other and that this was a targeted attack as a result of a disagreement,” says Douglass.

The RCMP’s Serious Crime Section continues to lead the investigation.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 250-561-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
