Prince George, B.C. – From toys and furniture to wine racks and vinyl, there will be something for everyone at this weekend’s fourth annual Prince George Council of Seniors garage sale.

“We’re going to be setting up some outdoor tents outside our building at 721 Victoria Street,” says executive director Lola-Dawn Fennell. “We’ll be selling from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and again from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow.”

She says the purpose is to help raise funds for the local non-profit organization.

“Proceeds will go towards seniors’ resource programming. Mostly we’re an information centre but we do have some practical programs like Meals on Wheels and seniors peer counselling.

Fennell says they don’t have a fundraising goal in mind but notes in the past they’ve raised around $500 a day.

She says all the goods have been donated and they will even be selling hotdogs on Saturday in a bid to attract more people.
