Prince George, B.C. – If you’re headed downtown today, the city of Prince George says to expect traffic delays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
It’s to make way for the 87th annual Elks May Day parade which will block access to the Civic Centre from Seventh Avenue and limit access via Ninth Avenue.
The City says the following streets will be closed to traffic:
- Proceeding west on Seventh Avenue to Victoria Street
- Northbound on Victoria Street to Third Avenue
- Eastbound on Third Avenue to George Street
- Southbound on George Street to Lower Patricia Boulevard
- Lower Patricia Boulevard between George Street and Dominion Street will be closed from about 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the parade float assembly
Despite the closures, the City says emergency vehicles will have access.

I’ll do my part, I will stay out of the downtown core, as usual, and not have to worry about being ticketed after two hours rather than the three they claim we have.
and dont become infatuated with some hot chick crossing the street in her flimsy summer apparel…because that my friend is distracted driving!
Weapons Of Mass Distraction !!
I am too old for that silliness
