Bike Registry Hits Milestone
Prince George, B.C.- It’s been nearly a year since the Prince George RCMP launched their campaign to register bicycles in this City. On the weekend, the 1,000th registration happened.
The registration team registered the 1000th bike onto the 529 Garage anti-bike theft APP on Saturday, when Conway Fisher took his bike to Otway for a ride. Being the lucky number 1000 meant Fisher was rewarded with a gift from the registration team in addition to having a great ride.
With the registration team attending a number of events in the City for the rest of the season, they are hoping to have 2,000 bikes registered before the snow flies.
In addition to having a bike registered ( for possible identification should it be stolen) those who register are also in the running for a special prize. Prince George RCMP will be raffling off a 2017 Norco Storm mountain bike donated by Cycle world and Norco. Bike owners get one entry form for each bike they register. The draw will take place at the end of September.
