Severe Thunderstorm Watch for P.G.
Wednesday, May 31, 2017 @ 11:14 AM
Prince George, B.C. – A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Prince George.
Environment Canada says conditions are right for a severe thunderstorm that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.

Yawn, typical ‘thunderstorm warning’ from Environment Canada. Sunny skies, no winds.. just nothing happens as usual. Are they just trying to validate their existence now, by throwing out alerts every other day?
Looking ugly out west, coming this way.
Just heard thunder here on the Hart.
Quite a lightning show around 9 pm.
