Y Road Race, Fun Run Go Sunday
Prince George, B.C. – The 2017 Canadian Tire YMCA Road Race and Kids Colour Fun Run are ready to roll on Sunday.
The 31st annual road race, one of the longest-running road race events in the city, is taking place from the YMCA on Massey Drive from 9 am to 12 noon. Close to 300 runners are expected to take to the streets in either the 5 km or 10 km races. Corporate teams are also entered for the event.
The Road Race is followed up by the Kids Colour Fun Run, which is a run for kids of all ages complete with music and a splash of colour powder paint at the finish line.
The event is usually held on the Masich Place stadium track, but seeing as the stadium is currently undergoing renovation, the Kids Fun Run will be held this year on a course which will be set up on site at the YMCA itself. Pre-registration is required at the Y. The cost is $10 per child.
The Fun Run goes from 11 am to 12 noon on Sunday.
