Quesnel, B.C. – Two people are in police custody following a suspected arson in Quesnel yesterday.
Quesnel RCMP Sgt. Darren Dodge says police were called to a residence just after 5:30 p.m. on West Fraser Road to find it “fully engulfed in flames.”
“Investigation by responding officers determined that the fire had been intentionally set,” he says. “A short while later two suspects were located and arrested.”
Dodge says a 31-year-old man from Quesnel and a 37-year-old woman from Prince George, both well known to police, are now in custody.
He adds the house – which was “destroyed” – was occupied at the time. There were no injuries.
Police believe it was a targeted attack. No names have been released.
