Frizzell Elected to FCM Executive

Prince George, B.C. – A Prince George City Councillor has been elected to the executive board of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.

Councillor Garth Frizzell was elected the FCM’s 3rd Vice-president at the organization’s Annual Conference and Trade Show which wrapped up today in Ottawa.

Frizzell has served in a number of capacities on the FCM’s board over the past eight years.  Currently vice-chair of International Relations he has also been chair of the Standing Committee on Finance and Intergovernmental Relations, chair of the Governance Working Group, chair of the BC Caucus as well as serving on the municipal energy task force.

Delegates to the FCM convention were tasked with selecting a 3rd VP from the province of British Columbia, prompting Frizzell to put his name forward, successfully.
