Springwood Family BBQ Tonight
Prince George, B.C. – Springwood Elementary School families are invited to a barbecue tonight.
Staff will be busy serving up hot dogs, hamburgers and fries from 5:30 to 7 p.m. There will even be bouncy castles for the kids.
“It’ll be a chance to meet the staff,” says Prince George school board chair Tim Bennett. “It’s also a chance to really kick off the creation of the Springwood family and to welcome over 160 students to the school in September.”
As 250News reported earlier this month (see previous story here), Kelly Johansen has been hired as principal along with all the classroom teachers.
The Prince George School District announced the reopening of the school in April. The move was prompted by the BCTF’s Supreme Court of Canada victory in November and the need for more classroom space in the Hart.
