Mountie Gets His Ducks in a Row
Ft.St. John, B.C. – July 4th was not only Independence day in the United States, it was a day of independence for the members of a feathered family in Ft. St. John.
In the morning of July 4th, a passerby heard some noises, coming from a storm drain and called upon RCMP Constable Tristan Williams to investigate.
Cst Williams removed the grate from the storm drain, and could see five trembling ducklings.
Seems, the five downy siblings had fallen through the drainage grate while waddling behind their mother.
Constable Williams leaned into the drain, and retrieved the little ones, one by one, freeing them from their drainage prison.
The quintuplets were returned to their home environment, unharmed, and were quickly reunited with their mother.
Ft. St. John RCMP say they took this incident seriously and have determined there was no “fowl” play involved.
