Wildfire Causes Highway 1 Closure

Prince George, B.C. – Those heading south on Highway 97 today beware: a wildfire has closed Highway One from Ashcroft to Cache Creek in both directions.
The BC Wildfire Service lists the Ashcroft fire as 500 hectares in size. No word yet on when the highway will reopen.
The closure comes as fire danger ratings across the province reach “extreme.” One of those wildfires sparked yesterday and is now just seven kilometres west of 100 Mile House forcing both evacuation orders and alerts.

Most of the fires in the province burning right now are human caused and several of them are attributed to Smokers as these idiots continually throw their lit butts away without further thought but then again most people don’t use common sense either
At least 6 fires were caused by unattended campfires and others from people burning illegally again these people are not exactly smart people
Please do the rest of us a favour and try to use what little brain cells you have and try to think before you do
Ndp voters most likely.
Many many years ago on the Hope/Princeton Hwy. there was a huge cigarette hanging from a chain. I remember it well as it said the person who threw the cigarette out the window should also be hanging. No truer words said! I think they should totally ban open flame campfires. It might inconvenience a lot of people, but on the other hand there are numerous dumb people out there who are careless as hell when it comes to open flame fires. Buy a proprane or gas barbecue are f it is an issue.
I am a smoker and you would never catch me throwing out my butts as I keep a bottle in my vehicles. Those who do, I hope you get caught.
How do you go from unattended camp fire causation to cigarette butt disposal causation?
Oh, I forgot: Squirrel
