Province Announces Special Wildfire Rebuild Fund
Prince George, B.C. – Premier Christy Clark has announced a $100-million fund to provide impacted communities and residents the resources needed to rebuild in the wake of the devastating wildfires that are raging in B.C.
Premier Clark is heading to Kamloops today where she will be meeting with emergency officials and families impacted by the wildfires ” I want to ensure our government is doing everything possible to provide support during such a devastating time for so many British Columbians.”
She says the transition team for the incoming government has been briefed on the establishment of the fund.
Earlier today, Premier designate, John Horgan announced he will be in Kamloops today as well, meeting with many of the same people Premier Clark plans to meet.
