Evacuation Alerts in P.G. Fire Centre Region

Prince George, B.C. – There are three wildfires of note in the Prince George Fire Centre, and all three have evacuation alerts attached to them.
The Regional District of Bulkley Nechako has issued evacuation alerts for two of the fires:
- Sutherland Road fire, which is about 10kms north of Fort Fraser, is estimated to be 700 hectares in size
- Grizzly Lake fire, about 10 kms west of BobTail lake is 250 hectares in size
The Cariboo Regional District has an evacuation alert in place for those in the area of the Tatelkuz Lake, south west of Prince George, estimated to be 950 hectares in size
As of 8 this morning, campfires are banned throughout B.C. with the exception of Haida Gwaii and the fog zone on Vancouver Island.
70 Provincial parks have been closed throughout the interior of B.C. . Check with BC Parks for an updated list.
